Fortunately, GWSS counts have declined sharply to numbers more typical for this time of year. A total of 24 GWSS adults were captured over the past two weeks among 123 traps in citrus groves and vineyards. This decline further suggests that the unusually high counts during the last round of trapping were largely attributable to the anomalously warm weather during much of March.
15 of the traps captured at least one GWSS adult over this period, with as many as just 3 caught on a trap. Captures were generally low throughout the Valley.
