GWSS activity remains high. A total of 417 GWSS were collected among 131 traps in citrus groves and select vineyards throughout the valley. This level of activity is high and noticeably delayed compared to historic averages for Temecula. As noted last week there is not necessarily much to be done in response this late in the season. But it is worth keeping an eye on going into Fall and Winter, as it can be an indicator of sharpshooter activity next Spring and early Summer, which is the important window for chronic PD spread
59 traps captured at least one GWSS adult, with up to 26 on an individual trap. 18 traps collected 10 or more GWSS, mostly in the south-central and northeast portions of the valley
