There have been three rounds of trapping since the last update. Over that period, GWSS captures have declined down to very low numbers that is more typical of this time of the year than last season. Hopefully, it is an early indicator we'll see much lower GWSS activity than last summer
No GWSS adults were captured on any of the 115 traps that were inspected in late April. The map below shows the average number of GWSS on each trap over the most recent three censuses. Just 14 traps recorded any GWSS over that period, from late February through late April
Traps will be checked twice a month from now through at least early fall. We'll also be adding a handful of additional traps to get a bit better coverage in the area. Contact Matt (mattd@ucr.edu) with any questions
